Michael Jackson To Appear On Pepsi Cans
More than one billion cans will be imprinted with the late pop icon's image.

<P>More than three years after <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jackson_michael/artist.jhtml">Michael Jackson's</a> <a href="/news/articles/1614744/michael-jackson-dies-at-50.jhtml">death</a>
, the pop icon will be at the beach, the pool, the 7-Eleven and everywhere in between this summer thanks to a new deal with PepsiCo.</P><P>According to <a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304746604577381792902984470.html?KEYWORDS=pepsi" target="_blank"><I>The Wall Street Journal</I></a> the #2 soda company is going back to the future with a massive campaign that will have Jackson's image imprinted on more than one billion cans of soda as part of its new global "Live For Now" marketing push.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Remembering Michael Jackson - One Year Later" id="id:1642144" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Nearly 30 years after Jackson first agreed to be the voice of the brand, an agreement has been reached with Jackson's estate, though reps for both sides declined to disclose the financial terms of the deal. When Jackson signed on to shill Pepsi in 1984 he was paid a then-record $5 million. A representative for the estate said the PepsiCo campaign is the first branding deal executed since Jackson died in 2009 at the age of 50.</P><P>While Jackson was handsomely paid in the 1984 deal, it was during the filming of an ad for that sponsorship that his life was forever altered. While shooting a commercial for Pepsi, a pyro effect went wrong and Jackson's hair caught fire, seriously burning his face and scalp and requiring multiple skin grafts and resulting in intense pain. It has been speculated that Jackson's addiction to pain medications may have begun after the mishap.</P><P>The new campaign is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Jackson's <I>Bad</I> album. PepsiCo will start distributing the special-edition cans in China this weekend and they will arrive in the U.S. later this month. The 16-ounce, collector's-edition can in the U.S. will feature a special download code that will link to downloads of <I>Bad</I> remixes. Though TV ads will debut in China later this month, it has not been determined yet if similar spots will air in the U.S.</P><P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/?fid=1617615"><img src="http://www.mtv.com/news/photos/s/spotted/banner/spotted.jpg"></a></P>

Michael Jackson Still The King Of Pop Three Years After Death
MJ's continued influence on pop culture has proved that the King of Pop will forever remain in the hearts of music fans.

<P>Music fans the world over can mark June 25, 2009 as one of those eerie days that force them to recall exactly what they were doing in the moments before they heard tragic news. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1614744/michael-jackson-dies-at-50.jhtml">Michael Jackson died</a> that day, at the age of 50, and the world was not ready to see him go.</P><P>No entertainer could ever fill the void that MJ left behind, but his memory has not faded in the three years that he's been gone. In the past 12 months alone, we've seen Jackson-inspired productions, heard narratives from celebrities who continually cite him as a key influence, and this summer his face will be plastered on Pepsi cans to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his classic album <i>Bad.</i> Keep reading to see a few examples from the past year that prove that Jackson has remained forever in the heart of pop culture.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Remembering Michael Jackson" id="id:1614746" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P><strong>Conrad Murray manslaughter trial</strong></P><P>The public and very messy <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1673780/michael-jackson-trial-conrad-murray-prosecution-defense.jhtml">manslaughter trial for Jackson's doctor</a> Conrad Murray began in late September, and it was an excruciating and drawn-out ordeal for fans who were hoping to find closure after the star's death. After a painstaking six-week trial, which included testimony from 49 witnesses, a jury delivered a guilty verdict on involuntary manslaughter charges for Murray on November 7, and the world let out a collective sigh of relief.</P><P><strong><i>Watch the Throne</i> shout-out</strong></P><P>The guilty verdict in Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial was handed down just hours before Jay-Z and Kanye West's <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1673963/jay-z-kanye-west-watch-the-throne-madison-square-garden.jhtml"><i>Watch the Throne</i> tour</a> hit Madison Square Garden in New York, and it was clear that the hip-hop Titans were paying attention, just like everyone else. While spitting his lines on the <i>WTT's</i> "Welcome to the Jungle," Jay threw extra emphasis on the line, "Rest in peace to the leader of the Jackson 5," which drew applause from the crowd.</P><P><strong>Cirque Du Soleil launches Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour</strong></P><P>After a few preliminary shows in Canada, in October Cirque Du Soleil launched <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1682347/michael-jackson-immortal-cirque.jhtml">Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour</a> in the U.S., dedicating a two-hour production entirely to the fallen legend. The mind-blowing mashup of dance and acrobatics, set to MJ's music, was an immediate hit, and the 65 artists who trained intensely for their performances did not take their responsibilities lightly. When <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1682612/michael-jackson-immortal-world-tour.jhtml">MTV News caught up with</a> one of the dancers backstage, following a performance set to "Danger," he admitted that the entire production was deeply emotional, and that if MJ could see the show, "he would feel such a sense of pride of what he has given us to work with."</P><P><strong>Jackson tops fans' hologram wish list</strong></P><P>Tupac's hologram appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April set off a firestorm of speculation about which deceased entertainer we could expect to see onstage next. Not surprisingly, MJ was on the tip of many a fan's tongue. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lmfao/artist.jhtml">LMFAO</a>'s Redfoo put MJ's name at the top of his hologram wish list, while a quick poll of fans in the Times Square area found that the masses wholeheartedly agreed."It's a really cliché answer, but in my time I've never seen [Michael Jackson] and it would just be something awesome to watch," <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1684073/michael-jackson-amy-winehouse-holograms.jhtml">one fan told MTV News</a>.</P><P><strong>Justin Bieber's "Die in Your Arms" single inspired by MJ</strong></P><P>Justin Bieber stopped by MTV's Times Square studio on June 19 for his "Bieber Live" special, during which the 18-year-old superstar performed one of his new singles <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1687838/justin-bieber-die-in-your-arms-michael-jackson.jhtml">"Die in Your Arms,"</a> and explained that the track was inspired by old MJ footage he viewed during a session with producer Rodney Jerkins. "Before I got in the booth, [Rodney Jerkins] showed me this hour-long video of Michael [Jackson] footage, never been seen before. It's Michael's personality, him in the booth dancing. It's some really special stuff," Bieber recalled. "So me seeing that, going in there and being inspired and working with Rodney, who worked with Michael — it was incredible."</P><P><strong>Pepsi 'Live For Now' Campaign</strong></P><P>In 1984 Michael Jackson first linked up with Pepsi for a $5 million marketing campaign, and 28 years later the soda giant is teaming up with the Jackson estate to commemorate the 25th anniversary edition of his classic album <i>Bad.</i> The <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1684460/michael-jackson-pepsi-cans.jhtml">"Live for Now" campaign</a> will find the icon's face plastered on special, limited-edition Pepsi cans this summer. The cans will include special download codes treating fans to <i>Bad</i> remixes.</P><P><strong>Rick Ross shouts out MJ on <i>Self Made Vol. 2</i> </strong></P><P>From Bieber to Rick Ross, no artist has escaped the influence of Michael Jackson. The Maybach Music Group CEO is unveiling his latest compilation album <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/06/21/maybach-music-self-made-vol-2-album-stream/"><i>Self Made Vol. 2</i></a> on Tuesday, just one day after the anniversary of Jackson's death, and that fact didn't escape him. Ross begins the LP's intro by telling fans, "If Michael Jackson came alive right now, he'd ask you to smoke one for him. So in his honor [lights up]."</P><P><b>Jackson Brothers launch Unity Tour</b></P><P>Five days before the June 25 anniversary of MJ's death, his four brothers — Jermaine, Jackie, Tito and Marlon — launched their <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/04/23/michael-jackson-hologram-jackson-brothers-tour/">Unity Tour</a>. The Jackson brothers revealed that a joint tour has been in the making for years, but admitted that they needed time to heal after losing the most famous member of the Jackson 5. Following Michael's death, all four brothers were featured on the A&E reality series "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty," which found them coping with their loss. In April it was rumored that an MJ hologram would make an appearance on the jaunt, but there's been no confirmation that the early reports were true.</P>

Placing a priority on her physical and mental well-being, LeAnn Rimes has decided to seek professional help at an undisclosed health facility.
The now 30-year-old country singer is said to be addressing anxiety and stress related issues, as her rep, Marcel Pariseau, told People magazine, "LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30-day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress. While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."
Pariseau added that Miss Rimes will continue to perform in September, explaining, "The facility has granted her permission to keep her weekend tour obligations, as LeAnn doesn't want to disappoint her fans. She will report back after each weekend."
Meanwhile, LeAnn, herself, commented to People about her personal medical decision, revealing, "This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be. All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I'm hoping they're not going to affect me as much. I'll have the tools to know how to deal with them."
Offering his full support to his "Can't Fight the Moonlight" crooner bride is actor Eddie Cibrian, who said, "My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know. I am so proud of her for having the strength to finally take some time for herself. I will be with her every step of the way."

Ke$ha Calls Bob Dylan Cover 'An Emotional Purging'
Pop singer sings 'Don't Think Twice, It's All Right' for Amnesty International anniversary album.

<P>It's hard to associate <MTVNLINK type="artist" id="3213641">Ke$ha</MTVNLINK> with songs about anything other than hot guys, body glitter and partying. But she's defying her usual topics of interest for human rights organization Amnesty International. The singer is one of the many musicians on the org's <i>Chimes of Freedom</i> compilation of Bob Dylan's music, out January 24.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Ke$ha Calls Bob Dylan Cover Choice 'An Accident'" id="vid:720838" width="240" height="211"></div><p></P><P>When MTV News spoke with K-Dollar Sign last week about her <a href="/news/articles/1676172/kesha-sleazy-remix.jhtml">all-star remix of "Sleazy,"</a> she also opened up about switching gears vocally and emotionally for her version of Dylan's classic "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right."</P><P>"I mean, I think it's pretty well known that he's one of, if not my most, favorite artists of all time and ... one of the most amazing lyricists as well — the original storyteller," she explained. "So I love Bob Dylan and this was just, like, a dream. When they asked me to do a cover, I was just, like, salivating and going through all my records. It was so fun. It was the best homework assignment you could possibly have."</P><P>K's version of Dylan's song is a slow-burning, heartbreaking ode to the already heartbreaking classic, where she channels Dylan through lyrics like "Still I wish there was somethin' you would do or say/ To try and make me change my mind and stay/ We never did too much talkin' anyway/ So don't think twice, it's all right."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="What Is The Biggest Perk Of Being A Headliner? (2011)" id="vid:642810" width="240" height="211"></div><p></P><P>Ke$ha had originally intended to record another Dylan track, but when she heard that someone else had their sights set on it, she settled on "Don't Think Twice," prompting a catharsis she could never have imagined.</P><P>"This song was kind of an accident. I sat down and this is the first take that I ever sang," she recalled. "I just sat down on my bed for the first time after months of being on tour and I just started crying, and it was kind of like an emotional purging, and you can hear it on the record."</P><P>In addition to Ke$ha and her contribution, the album will feature 75 other Dylan classics recorded by nearly 80 artists including Adele, Miley Cyrus, "Glee" star Darren Criss, My Chemical Romance, Evan Rachel Wood and Sugarland. The album pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International.</P>

And if fans were wondering what and who influenced the video, Bieber took to <a href="https://twitter.com/justinbieber" target="_blank">Twitter</a> hours after the premiere to shout out his hero, Michael Jackson, for helping him step up his music-video game.</P><P>"MJ told stories with his videos. I wanted to tell a story. Feel like a movie. #AsLongAsYouLoveMe," he wrote, showing some love to the master. He later added, "Push the limits. Fight for what you BELIEVE in."</P><P>As of Wednesday night, Bieber was astounded that his video had amassed more than 1 million views in less than 10 hours. But that number nearly quadrupled on Thursday morning — as of press time, the video had almost 4 million streams.</P><P>Bieber is not only feeling the love for his <a href="/news/articles/1690932/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-video.jhtml">"ALAYM" video</a> but also for his "Boyfriend" video, which just received two <a href="http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/2012/">2012 MTV Video Music Award</a> nominations for <a href="/news/articles/1690978/rihanna-only-girl-best-pop-video-video-music-awards.jhtml">Best Pop Video</a> and Best Male Video. Bieber goes into the September 6 broadcast already a two-time VMA winner. He'll learn if he can take home another one when the show goes live from the Staples Center.</P><P>The VMAs take place just weeks before Bieber kicks off his sold-out <a href="/news/articles/1688265/justin-bieber-after-believe.jhtml"><i>Believe</i> tour</a>, which coincidentally will also be heavily influenced by the King of Pop.</P><P>"He has been watching a tremendous amount of Michael Jackson concerts from the '80s and '90s," his manager Scooter Braun shared. "And he has been talking to me about how Michael incorporated magic and pyro and reveals and he wants to bring in that. [But] still do that acoustic thing, but he wants to take it to a whole new level.</P><P>"It's just really exciting," Braun continued. "Nothing makes him happier than being onstage. So it's gonna be fun to get back onto the road. I think he was an amazing performer before, but his level of dance and musicianship and his range [has grown]. He's a veteran now. I think he wants to take it to a completely new level."</P>

Ke$ha Gives Flaming Lips Frontman His First-Ever Toe Tattoo
Wayne Coyne talks about what happens when you work with 'freaks' like Ke$ha on The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/flaming_lips/artist.jhtml">Flaming Lips</a> mastermind Wayne Coyne took away more than just <a href="http://pitchfork.com/news/46404-flaming-lips-blood-vinyl-10-copies-2500-features-keha-erykah-badu-nick-cave-chris-martin-blood/" target="_blank">a vial of blood</a> when he traveled to Nashville to record with <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a>. (Though, really, you'd think that would be enough.) He also left with his first-ever tattoo ... not to mention a newfound respect for the wild-child pop star.</P><P>"Most of the time, if someone's willing to work with me, they're going to be a freak. And Ke$ha ... I sort of thought that she would be a freak, I'd heard about her and we'd tried to get a hold of her earlier," Coyne told MTV News backstage at the <a href="/news/articles/1685474/dave-matthews-band-hangout-fest.jhtml">Hangout Fest</a> in Gulf Shores, Alabama. "We showed up at her house, and she has a tattoo gun that she gives everyone a tattoo with, so within 20 minutes of being at her house, I had a tattoo on my toe; it's the only tattoo I've ever had.</P><P>"We were set to do this one song that I had prepared, and we went into the studio that night, and stayed there until about 2 in the morning, and did four songs, just making stuff up," he continued. "And the next day [we] worked for another couple hours. She's funny, she's gracious, she's imaginative, she's creative and she's <i>a lot</i> of fun to be around."</P><P>The result of that collaboration (a song called "2012") shows up on the Lips' special Record Store Day double-LP, <i>The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends,</i> a thoroughly out-there collection of songs and sound-collages that — as the title implies — the band recorded with the likes of Bon Iver, Nick Cave, Neon Indian, Yoko Ono and, uh, Coldplay's Chris Martin ... to name just a few. But will fans get to hear even <i>more</i> of the Flaming Lips/Ke$ha team-up? Well, Coyne certainly hopes so.</P><P>"We really loved making this music together — I think I've probably done six or seven songs with her — and I know a lot of her fans like ['2012'], but I don't know if we'll put more songs out there," he said. "She has other agendas besides doing music with Wayne, you know, but I hope so, because I think it's really great, crazy, <i>unexpected</i> music. And she, to her credit, loves what we do. She wants it to be whatever. She has no limits of what she wants it to be."</P><P>And don't think the <i>Heady Fwends</i> sessions will be the last time Coyne and Ke$ha share time (or blood) in the studio. If anything, the Lips' recent output of, uh, <i>non-traditional</i> releases — songs encased in gummy skulls and fetuses, 24-hour noise-jam freakouts that <a href="http://flaminglipstwentyfourhoursong.com/" target="_blank">play for all eternity</a>, limited-edition vinyl filled with actual blood, etc — suggests Coyne and Co. are just getting started ... and they're going to get even weirder before they're finished.</P><P>"That's been the beautiful thing about all of these weird collaborations and projects; you work with <i>freaks.</i> Even working with someone like Chris Martin, he's very open to, like, 'Let's do stuff!' That's the great surprise about it," Coyne said. "I don't think people are surprised when we work with a group like Lightning Bolt or Neon Indian — people think of us as like-minded — but the surprising thing with the Chris Martins or the Ke$has, they're like us too, they just don' play music that sounds like that all the time."</P>

Justin Bieber's 'As Long As You Love Me' Video: Growing Up Is Hard To Do
Bieber dives headlong into adulthood — and takes a beating from Michael Madsen — in his brand-new video.

<P>When Justin Bieber dropped his <a href="/news/articles/1684446/justin-bieber-boyfriend-video.jhtml">"Boyfriend"</a> video back in May, he made one thing very clear: He's all grown up.</P><P>Yes, with its cool cars, hot clothes and even hotter women, "Boyfriend" was <i>precisely</i> the kind of video a newly minted 18-year-old would make, had they the means (and the relationship with <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2010/09/24/lil-x-director-x/">Director X</a>). It was a supercharged, supremely budgeted <i>man's</i> fantasy, and, much like manhood itself, there was nothing subtle about it.</P><P><object width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" id="embeddedPlayer" data="http://videoplayer.vevo.com/embed/embedded" style="visibility: visible;"><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><param name="wmode" value="transparent"><param name="flashvars" value="playerType=embedded&videoId=USUV71201064&playlist=false&enableDomScan=true&siteSection=MTV_mtv.com&playerId=62FF0A5C-0D9E-4AC1-AF04-1D9E97EE3961&autoplay=0&endScreen=play&cc=US&cultureName=en-US&cultureIsRTL=False&sbId=14A00605-7DB5-4492-B67B-CB2093BD89DD"></object></P><P>And while the same can be said about his brand-new "As Long as You Love Me" clip — it's about a subtle as a hammer to the head — that's where the similarities between the two videos end. Director Anthony Mandler tones down the excess in favor of a genuine grittiness, and, in the process, makes "Boyfriend" look like child's play. If that clip was a fantasy ride, well, then "ALAYLM" is a reality trip. Adulthood isn't <i>all</i> fun and games, after all.</P><P>Part tragic love story, part pulpy thriller, the new vid finds Bieber flexing his acting muscles opposite Michael Madsen — that'll put hair on his chest — who plays an overprotective father/probable career criminal with a penchant for gaudy fashion (which is to say, the same kind of role he's been playing for 20 years now). Biebs has only the noblest of intentions for his daughter, but Madsen refuses to give their relationship his approval — a point he drives home when he advises JB to "hit the road."</P><P>Of course, given that this is a tragedy, Bieber doesn't listen, and, in-between some scenes of the young couple exploring the limits of their love — definitely his most adult to date — we learn that JB plans on rescuing his girlfriend from the grips of her father, via a late-night train station rendezvous. As you might expect, this doesn't sit particularly well with Madsen, who confronts Bieber and dishes out a savage beating (though at least he doesn't <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLTqecGbdCc" target="_blank">cut his ear off</a>) while his daughter looks on in horror.</P><P>And while you'd think all that violence would be enough to further cement his love interest's desire to flee, sadly, she leaves Bieber standing at the train station, and at clip's end, he is heartbroken ... and alone. For the first time, Bieber <i>doesn't</i> get the girl, and the message seems to be clear: Being a grown-up ain't all it's cracked up to be.</P><P>In a lot of ways, "As Long as You Love Me" is probably a risk for Bieber; he dares to dirty up his image and isn't afraid to take a beating. Those scenes of violence are are particularly vivid, as are the subsequent performance shots where Bieber belts out the tune with blood dripping from his face. It's a credit to his newfound maturity that he'd trust Mandler's vision and allow the "ALAYLM" video to go to such great lengths. This is in no way a <i>fun</i> clip, but, then again, adulthood isn't supposed to be fun. Bieber seems to have figured that out, and, in doing so, he's only further separated himself from his tween-pop forefathers. They'd never go to the lengths or the depths he does here, mostly because they were probably afraid to grow up. Usher's Stepson Kile Glover Laid To Rest In Atlanta
Family and friends gathered at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church for 11-year-old's funeral service Friday (July 27).

<P>Family and friends gathered privately in Atlanta on Friday (July 27) to lay to rest young Kile Glover, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher Raymond</a>'s 11-year old stepson, who died from injuries suffered in a tragic <a href="/news/articles/1689206/ushers-stepson-declared-brain-dead-after-jet-ski-accident.jhtml">Jet Ski accident</a> earlier this month.</P><P>Glover was the son of Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Foster, and Atlanta TV executive Ryan Glover. He was struck by a Jet Ski while floating in an inner tube on Atlanta's Lake Lanier on July 6.</P><P>There was no fanfare outside the Wieuca Road Baptist Church on Peachtree Road where the funeral was held, but inside, the Glover, Foster and Raymond families received tremendous amounts of support from many esteemed members of Atlanta's music and political communities. Ludacris, Jazze Pha and Phaedra Parks from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" were just some of the celebrities in attendance. The hour-long service began at 11 a.m.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Usher's Stepson Kile Glover Is Laid To Rest" id="vid:819972" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Young Kile was airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where doctors subsequently pronounced him brain-dead. "We know God's in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time," the family told CNN in a statement. "We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it's the best way we can all support him now."</P><P>Glover passed away on July 21 after being removed from <a href="/news/articles/1690157/usher-stepson-kile-glover-taken-off-life-support.jhtml">life support</a>.</P><P>Atlanta radio personality and Cash Money record artist DJ Greg Street sent out a tweet immediately after hearing the news of Glover's death, expressing his support for the family. "Lil RG is an Angel now, Ryan, Tameka, Usher & the whole Glover Family we gotta make him proud," he wrote.</P><P>The man driving the Jet Ski has been identified as 38-year-old Jeffrey S. Hubbard, a friend of the family. Police have determined that no drugs were involved in the accident, and Hubbard has not been charged with a crime. <P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jay_z/artist.jhtml">Jay-Z</a> are not only the undisputed first couple of hip-hop, but they are also the world's highest-paid celebrity couple, according to <a href="http://www.forbes.com/sites/andersonantunes/2012/08/06/the-worlds-highest-paid-celebrity-couples-2/" target="_blank"><i>Forbes.</i></a></P><P>The music moguls rose to the top of the ranks after getting beat out by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2011/08/20/jay-z-beyonce-make-forbes-top-power-couples-list/">back in 2011</a>.</P><P>This year, despite Beyoncé's seemingly lower profile in the music world, she still managed to rack in $40 million thanks to her many ventures in and out of music, including her 2011 album <i>4.</i> As for Hova, well, <i>Forbes</i> notes he brought in slightly less with an income of $38 million thanks to his <i>Watch the Throne</i> album and tour with Kanye West, as well as his own enterprises outside of music.</P><P>While their combined $78 million makes them the couple to beat, last year's #1 couple Gisele and Tom are following close at #2 with $72 million in a combined salary. They've earned their keep on the list through modeling gigs (for both partners) and his contract with the Patriots, which runs through 2014.</P><P>What other power couples made the list? Well, Posh Spice Victoria Beckham and her Los Angeles Galaxy soccer-playing hubby, David Beckham, come in at #3, but are more than $20 million behind in salary. But don't feel too bad for them: They raked in a combined $54 million through endorsement deals, clothing lines and royalties. The <i>Forbes</i> list is compiled using data taken between May 1, 2011 and May 1, 2012. In that time, the #4 couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, walked away with a combined $45 million. They earned their money as actors in both big- and small-budget films, and through modeling gigs like Jolie's with Louis Vuitton.</P><P>The final couple in the top 5 is Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. Captain America
Go see Captain America this weekend! Support our Colin!
I went to the premiere on Tuesday and it was the coolest thing ever. First, the movie is AMAZING and Chris Evans is a superstar. Second, there were so many damn people there it was insane. I have been to movie premieres in New York before and they were nothing like this. I mean, they closed down Hollywood Boulevard. I would've taken photos to show you, but the invite said to leave phones in the car. But here's a photo of me in my cool Captain America 3D glasses:

Ashley Greene's East Village Hang Out
Catching up with a gal pal, Ashley Greene walked around East Village in New York City on Friday (August 24).
The brunette beauty wore a white patterned tank top, short denim cutoffs, and tan flats as she playfully grabbed her friend by the shoulder.
Capitalizing on the success of her role in the "Twilight Saga," Ashley's new horror flick, "The Apparition," hit theaters on Friday (August 24).
The 25-year-old actress spoke to NBC Chicago about her post-Twilight career, saying, "I think right now it's very fun because there are so many things that I haven't done and so many characters that I haven't played. Of course I want it to be well-rounded. I'm interested in playing basically every single different character. I certainly want to play a villain at some point because I think that's very fun, and the polar opposite of Alice [Cullen]."

'Glee' Star Promises New Britney Spears Hit On Tribute Episode
'I grew up listening to Britney Spears,' Amber Riley reveals to MTV News about the season-four homage.

<P>The first time "Glee" paid tribute to the one and only <link type="content" id="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</link>, fans tuned in to not only hear the Gleeks put their spin on some of Brit's biggest tunes, but also to catch a glimpse of the star on the show.</P><P>Now, with <a href="/news/articles/1685127/britney-spears-glee-episode.jhtml">another Britney-centric episode planned</a>, one of the show's stars, Amber Riley, admits that she'd be down to do whatever show creator Ryan Murphy asks her to do for it.</P><P>"I don't really keep my ear to the ground for those things. If it's something they want me to know, they'll let me know," she told MTV News on Wednesday (August 1) when she stopped by the offices to chat about the show's fourth season, kicking off September 13. "They did all the songs that I really liked in the first one."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="'Glee' Star Amber Riley Wants To Perform Britney Spears' 'Circus'" id="vid:822247" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Sure, some of her favorite tunes may have already been performed, but that doesn't mean there isn't one or two she'd like to put the Mercedes stamp on. 'Circus' is a good one."</P><P>Spears isn't likely to appear in this new tribute episode, but that doesn't mean she isn't destined to run into the "Glee" kids, especially given they are all on Fox shows. When asked if Riley has any plans to chill with the "X Factor" judge at any network holiday parties, she laughed, "No! Probably not."</P><P>With Riley was uncertain of her own role in the Spears episode, some of her co-stars have been more forthcoming about what they will be doing or hope to be doing in the episode. Chris Colfer <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/332350/glee-s-chris-colfer-wants-drama-for-kurt-blaine-hopes-to-sing-britney-spears-in-tribute-episode" target="_blank">has said</a> he hopes to do something from her <i>Femme Fatale</i> era, while Chord Overstreet added, "It's probably one of her most recent singles.
