Move over, Celebrity Rehab-ers, former Brady Bunch stars and anyone made famous by Brett Michaels! VH1 is introducing a new show featuring a deliciously random batch of C-list celebrities -- including some love-to-hate-'em types.
This fall, the network plans to premiere the reality show, Famous Food, which throws a group of "celebrities" together to start a restaurant in West Hollywood. Get a load of the cast so far.
In addition to some little-known rappers and character actors, the lineup features Jake Pavelka (lover-turned-hater of The Bachelor, season 14); Heidi Montag (plastic surgery veteran and fading star of The Hills); Danielle Staub (former villainess of The Real Housewives of NJ); and Ashley Dupre (former call girl to former New York governor Eliot Spitzer).
A couple of restaurateurs, Mike Malin and Lonnie Moorem, will preside over this clutch of publicity-seeking misfits. Like on The Apprentice, there will be teams and weekly (restaurant-managing) challenges. The winner earns part ownership of the restaurant. The losers will return to brainstorming more ways to re-enter the public consciousness.
Obviously, the producers have gone out of their way to cast the show with stars that viewers love to loathe. All this lineup is missing is that serial reality meanie, Omerosa Manigault. Well, and some random, ex-girlfriends of Jesse James and Tiger Woods.
